- Attendance
- Late Arrivals & Early Departures
In accordance with the Education and Training Reform Act 2006, schooling is compulsory for children and young people aged from 6 – 17 years unless an exemption has been granted.
If your child is sick or absent, you are required to notify the school as soon as possible on the day of absence by telephone or entering this onto Compass.
Notifying the school of your child’s absence either prior to, or on the day that they will be away, helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and will fulfill your legal responsibility.
If your child is absent and the school has not been contacted, the absence will be marked as unexplained and you will receive an SMS mid morning asking you to confirm your child’s absence.
If your child has an appointment and is arriving late, or departing early, or has an appointment during the term, please let your child(s) classroom teacher know via Class Dojo.
It is important that children arrive on time. If your child is late for school (after 8:50am), they must report to the administration office with a parent to register their late arrival and receive a late pass which will be handed to the class teacher.
Children are not permitted to leave the school ground at any time during the day.
Parents wishing to collect their child from school prior to 3:00pm dismissal, must go to the administration office to register their early departure.
Please can we remind you that lost minutes = lost learning!
At any time you require someone else to collect your child early from school, you will need to contact the office on to let them know who is authorised to do so.
